As part of a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Population Reference Bureau (PRB) has been supporting the Young Ambassadors for family planning from the nine member states of the Ouagadougou Partnership (OP). Married same-sex couples totaled an estimated 486,000 by October 2015, representing 45 percent of all same-sex couples, up from the 2013 level of 230,000 married same-sex couples, 21 percent of the total.

This underlying issue has continued to be present and relevant when examining cases of police brutality within Austria.

For example, in Vienna there tends to be an association made between Vienna's drug problem and the city's African migrants.

The number of married same-sex couples in the United States has increased dramatically in recent years. Developed for this 25th anniversary of the campaign, this infographic explores the intersection of intimate partner violence and family planning. PRB’s analysis shows that counties are often doubly disadvantaged—experiencing high levels of inequality in combination with high poverty rates.

Over the past two decades, inequality and poverty have both become more pervasive in U. Orleans Parish, Louisiana, home to the Port of New Orleans (pictured above), is an example of a high-inequality, high-poverty county.

The most notorious of these incidents occurred in the late 1990's, however recent reports in 2015 show that police are still treating civilians in this way.
